Do you have an idea that could make our community safer for children and youth? Step into the Lion’s Den, a live pitch competition where we are giving individuals an opportunity to present innovative business concepts aimed at reducing crimes against children and strengthening child and youth safety.
2026 Pitch
Pitch the Lions’ Den a business or innovative idea that reduces crimes against children or enhances safety for children and youth in Alberta.
Participants will pitch their ideas on stage on May 27, 2026, in front of a panel of business leaders and a live audience. The winning pitch will receive $5,000 cash prize. We’re looking for practical, creative, and impactful solutions that could drive real change—whether through prevention, education, technology, community programming, or new ways of supporting families and children.
If your idea can strengthen safety, prevent harm, or help protect the next generation, we want to hear it. No idea is too bold or too brave.
Applications open January 5th, 2026
Deadline to apply is March 20, 2026 11:59PM. Selected applicants will be notified by April 1, 2026, with necessary pitch formats and details allowing applicants 8 weeks to prepare for the live presentation.
